Mid Ulster parents urged to check entitlement to free school meals
Mid Ulster DUP MLA, Ian McCrea has encouraged all parents who feel that they meet the criteria for the school/PE uniform allowance or free school meals to take the time to apply and see if they can receive some assistance.
“Since the Education Authority has taken over the criteria has not changed for the free school meals/school uniform allowance and I feel it is well worth considering given the huge expense now attached to providing the likes of school uniforms for our children,” said Mr McCrea.
“In the Mid Ulster area we have two different Education Authority Boards, with the Southern Board covering Moneymore, Cookstown & Dungannon and the North Eastern Board which covers the eastern part of County Londonderry including the Local Government Districts of Magherafelt.”
