MEMBERS of the Broadisland Festival committee in Ballycarry welcomed the new Ulster Scots administrative worker for the area to their recent meeting.

Mrs Karyn Brown has been appointed to the Ulster Scots Agency-funded post and comes to the association with a background in voluntary community activity in the local area as well as a background in administration and retail.

She will be very focused on the Broadisland Gathering as ambitious plans continue to make the 18th annual festival an event to remember.
