Preparing your Plot was the recent theme for participants at Eden allotment gardens.

Further free sessions will be held next month and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is encouraging those interested in learning more about growing their own food to attend.

The programme is as follows: Saturday, August 8, 12noon – 1.00pm, Sowing from Seed and Plug; Saturday, August 15, 12noon – 1.00pm, Composting and Organic Fertilizer

Participants are asked to meet at the top car park in Eden allotment gardens at 12noon on specified dates. They are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for these outdoor events.

Materials and tools will be provided but attendees are encouraged to bring their own. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
