Mayor opens virtual Book of Condolences for Captain Sir Tom Moore

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has opened a virtual Book of Condolences following the sad passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Mayor, Councillor Peter Johnston, said: “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

“Captain Sir Tom was an inspiration to the entire nation during what has been a very challenging time.

“I thank him for his words of hope when we needed them most, and for making us smile through his bravery, tenacity and uplifting spirit.

“Captain Sir Tom’s incredible legacy will live on, and on behalf of the citizens of Mid and East Antrim, I extend my thoughts and prayers to his family at this sad time.”
