Police investigate theft of tools from outbuildings

Police are appealing for information after thieves stole tools from rural garages in Glengormley and Mallusk.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Between August 30 and August 31, a number of outbuildings, sheds and garages at rural properties in the Glengormley/Mallusk area were broken into. A number of tools were taken.

“Did you observe anything suspicious overnight between the August 30 and August 31? If so, detectives in Antrim would like to hear from you. We are particularly interested in any activity around the Lyle Hill Road East and Ballycraigy Road North in Mallusk. Freephone 101 and ask for Antrim CID. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

“As a result of these incidents, Newtownabbey LPT officers are advising the local community to review their security around their properties, especially if the properties are in more rural environments.”
