Police searches in Lurgan
Police are carrying out searches in Lurgan’s Tandragee Road area this afternoon.
At least five Land Rovers and several other PSNI vehicles are combing hedgerows between the Drumbeg estate and Mourneview.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “Police conducted a search in the Tandragee Road area of Lurgan this afternoon (22 Aug) in connection with an ongoing security operation.”

Hide AdA helicopter had been spotted hovering over Lurgan on Wednesday night. Eyewitnesses claimed it had spotlights and appeared to be conducting searches.
However a PSNI spokesperson said: “I have checked and we have no incidents involving the helicopter last night over Lurgan.”
