Portrush Sea Cadets want you!

Portrush Sea Cadets are urging the general public to make a community-focused New Year's Resolution in 2017, as they seek volunteers to help run their unit to enable young people from Portrush to get a head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.

David Morrison, Chair of Portrush Sea Cadets, said: “We need the help of local people who are happy to roll up their sleeves, get involved and potentially make a huge positive difference to the lives of lots of young people from our region. We have lots of uniformed and non-uniformed roles ranging from working directly with the cadets to behind the scenes management.

“You don’t need experience to join us as full training is provided.

“Everyone has a part to play to ensure young people get the best possible head start in life.”

Portrush Sea Cadet volunteer Hamish Grant: “I’ve been volunteering for a few years and have gained a lot of nationally recognised qualifications.
