Possible link between Larne burglaries

Police are investigating two burglaries in the Main Street area of Larne over the weekend.

Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said: “Staff opened a shoe shop on Monday morning to find that it had been broken into and ransacked. Entry appears to have been gained through a rear door which backs onto vacant land.

“In another incident, a hairdressers was broken into, again on Main Street. The break in was reported to police yesterday but is thought to have happened over the weekend.”

The PSNI is treating the burglaries as being possibly linked. Anyone with any information is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
