Pre-sentence reports ordered

Mark Anthony Lavery, 23, from Lagmore Drive in Dunmurry, appeared in Lisburn Magistrates Court this week charged with having no insurance, failing to display L plates and being an unaccompanied L driver.

Lavery was also charged with possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis.

The court heard that the defendant was driving a BMW car at White Rise in Dunmurry on March 9, 2014, when it was discovered he had no insurance for the vehicle, was not displaying L plates on the car and was not accompanied by a qualified driver.

District Judge Amanda Brady adjourned the case for four weeks to allow pre-sentence reports to be compiled.
