Royal British Legion concert in aid of Poppy Appeal

THE Royal British Legion Randalstown Branch is hosting a concert later this month.

The concert will take place in the OC Church Hall, Randalstown, on Friday, April 27.

The Northern Ireland First and Rescue Service Band will be performing.

The band was originally formed in March 2005 with eigh players - three serving Firefighters and five relatives of staff - as a wind Concert Band performing a wide range of musical styles and genres.

They have a current membership of around 45 comprising current and former NIFRS personnel from both operational and support roles as well as many members from outside the Service.

The Band plays numerous engagements throughout the year, notably including the Royal Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle for the last number of years.

The concert starts at 8pm and admission is £8. All proceeds will go to the Poppy Appeal.
