A normal hectic day starts off for Heather by getting her sister up and supervises her as she changes and gets her breakfast before she sees her off to the bus that takes her to the day centre LARC at Wallace Avenue every day.

She then gets her elderly mother up and changed before the carers who visit the house three times a day come in.

She can only do daily chores, going to the hairdresser or meet with friends with the help of her supportive family.

Heather, who is married with two daughters Sarah and Nicola says that she gets much help from her family.

“I could not do anything without them,” said Heather. “They are very supportive.”
