Silent auction bids to improve Church Builing

ST. COLMANELL'S church in Ahoghill are holding a Silent Auction in the Church Hall on Saturday March 13 from 10.30 - 11.30 am.

A silent auction is where the bidding is just that- silent. People write down their bids on a form attatched to each item, using only a number which they are given on arrival.

In this way, bidding is anonymous. They can bid for any number of items in this way and of course others can bid higher.

Others may bid higher for the item so the secret is to keep checking and keep bidding. At the end of the auction the highest bidder will claim the item.

Anyone who has been involved previously in a silent auction agrees that it is good fun and many a bargain can be gained in this way.

Admission is 1 and proceeds are for the church building fund. Tea and coffee will be available during the bidding for a small charge.
