Six arrested

There were six arrests for minor public order offences at the annual Apprentice Boys of Derry celebrations on Saturday.

Five men and one woman were arrested, and police reported that there was an attempted petrol bomb attack on a car parked in Fahan Street on Saturday afternoon at around 3pm. A petrol bomb was thrown at a VW Beetle which smashed the rear window but failed to ignite.

A number of youths were seen in the area with a petrol bomb and police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them at Strand Road station.
