Small Grants programme

Causeway Volunteer Centre have now released applications for their Small Grants programme to community and voluntary groups in the Causeway area including Coleraine, Ballymoney and Moyle.

Small grants are available to small community/voluntary group with at least 40% of their volunteers not in paid work. Volunteer expenses must make up at least 50% of the grant. Volunteer expenses can be used to cover travel, subsistence, training, care of dependants, protective clothing, etc.

Criteria for 2012-2013 Small Grants include:

1. Organisations must be independent, established fir charitable purposes and properly constituted.

2. Grants cannot be made to organisations with an annual income in the previous financial year of more than 100k.

3. Grants cannot be made to individuals or to statutory or commercial organisations.

4. Organisations must demonstrate that they tackle need or disadvantage, benefit the local community or community of interest, be made up of at lease 40% of volunteers who are not in paid work and must promote diversity and make volunteering more inclusive.
