Socket and hand broken in Newbuildings New Year attack
A man's hand and eye socket were broken in an attack in Newbuildings at New Year.
Police are investigating the report of a serious assault on a man in the Foyle Crescent area in the early hours of Friday, January 1.
Sometime between 1.30am and 2am the man was attacked by two males in a laneway which runs beside Foyle Crescent and sustained injuries including a fractured hand and eye socket as a result.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any information to contact officers in Strand Road on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
