Step aside Dimbleby - it’s Young People’s Question Time event

Moyle District Council is holding a ’Young People’s Question Time’ event on Tuesday 15th October from 7pm – 9pm at the

Council’s Offices in Ballycastle.

Each year, local authorities and schools across Northern Ireland participate in ‘European Local Democracy Week’ and at Moyle District Council, the Good Relations Department uses this annual initiative to encourage local young people to take more interest in and learn more about their own local council.

This year they have organised a ‘Young People’s Question Time’, based on the popular BBC show hosted by David Dimbleby. The event will involve a panel of some of our local councillors, answering questions from an invited audience made up of young people from schools and youth clubs across Moyle.

The event will be a light-hearted evening, providing the opportunity for young people to engage with local politicians and discuss some of the issues that are important to them.

It is pen to young people aged from 13 – 19.
