Translink hosts Meet the Manager event

Translink bus and rail managers have engaged directly with local political representatives to discuss passenger transport in the Larne and East Antrim areas.

The special Meet the Manager event provided a platform for discussion around a range of transport matters, including bus and rail service performance, the arrival of new Goldline coaches, engineering works on the Larne railway line and the new rail timetable consultation.

Representatives also got the chance to visit Millbrook park and ride facility, which opened earlier this year to service Goldline 256 coach passengers.

Speaking at the event, Sam Todd, Translink service delivery manager said: “These sessions are invaluable in terms of providing elected representatives with an update on local bus and rail services.

“We were pleased to welcome both MLAs and councillors on board one of our new Goldline coaches which offer superb passenger comfort, accessibility and reliability.

“We also advised stakeholders about current work at Larne Harbour Station (ongoing until November 4) and developments in the finalisation of a new rail timetable.

“We would once again like to thank local representatives for attending this Meet the Manager session and ask for their continued support as we work hard to deliver attractive services for everyone,” Mr Todd concluded.
