Enagh Youth Forum says it has campaigned long and hard for a railway line fence in the area to be replaced amidst safety fears in the local community.

A spokesperson said: “NI Railways was good enough to renew the fence and we feel that this vandalism is now so serious that NI Railways staff will be visiting in Strathfoyle Library next Thursday (August 29) at 11am to talk to young people and parents about the dangers of young people trespassing on the railway line now with the new silent trains.

“Come along and take part in this safety awareness event next Thursday at 11am!”
