Used mobile phone while she was driving

A 34-year-old woman was fined £100 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for using a mobile phone while she was driving.

Claudia Andrade, Keelmount Grange, Portadown, was also given three points.

The court heard that on June 20 last year at 7.55pm the defendant was driving in Carrickblacker Avenue, Portadown.

She was holding the steering wheel in her left hand and a mobile phone in her right hand.

She was talking into the phone.

A solicitor representing the defendant said there were no live points on her licence.
