Woman assaulted during robbery
POLICE investigating an attack on a woman and her son in the Jordanstown area have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
At around 4pm on Saturday, March 27, the 59-year-old woman and her son were in Glentoye Park when they were set upon by two men. The woman and her son were both assaulted and the attackers made off with the lady’s handbag.
The two assailants are described as being aged in their 30s and were wearing jeans, black jackets and baseball caps.
Investigating officers have urged anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000.
