“On the day we will have a number of facilitators on hand to offer advice during a series of breakout sessions geared towards generating new ideas for tourists that will entice visitors to the city,” she explained.

Hide Ad“For example the creation of attractive collective deals for visitors such as adventure packages, family packages, or health and beauty and shopping packages.
“By building strategic alliances between sectors, businesses can leverage the assets of other enterprises to create a new product or service offering for the market.
“We will be seeking the support of local businesses to stock local crafts in order to cross sell, and for local accommodation providers to stock copies of a craft producers brochure which we are hoping to produce in January 2013.”
As well as offering advice, the workshop will assist in establishing agreements between businesses hoping to work in tandem to achieve mutual business goals.

Hide AdAnd in conjunction with the Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau, the Council will also be offering participating businesses the chance to enhance their communications links by featuring profiles on their website and social media pages.
The workshop will take place on February 5 at the Tower Hotel, between 10am and 12.30pm.
