Baptism of fire for Spinning Mill as darts season begins

Spinning Mill could not have wished for a tougher baptism to life in the Ballymena, Harryville & District Darts League.

The Broughshane Street side host multiple league champions Drifters on their competitive debut as the league commences this Friday evening with the traditional curtain-raiser of the Charity Cup.

Spinning Mill are the only new team this season, while Ballee are absent from last season’s line-up.

Friday night’s opening Charity Cup fixture are: Greenhills v Ladysmith; Fairhill v Fountain Bar; Diamond v Fountain Arrows; BT/PO v Social Staffies; Spinning Mill v Drifters; Slemish Tavern v Michelin; Social Club v Buffs Club; Clough Rangers v Ladysmith Arrows.

* If any venue/bar would like to host any one of the Cup finals on 20th September for a tender of £25 towards the Charity fund, please let the Secretary or Treasurer know before or at the next committee meeting.

* The next meeting of the BHDDL committee will be held on Monday, September 2, at 8.25pm in The Coach Bar.
