Beckett's Soccer Academy record two key victories
First up last Wednesday night saw Ricky Wade’s young team defeat a very gallant Moyola Park Under 13s 8-1 in the North West and District Cup semi-final which now sees Beckett’s reach the final in their first ever season.
The goals were scored by man of the match Kieran Neill (3), Scott Curry (2), Lewis Magee (2) and 10-year-old Stewart Moore who banged home the eighth.

Then last Saturday Beckett’s set off early for the long journey to Donemana for a very important league game which was a vital fixture in their quest to lift the league title at their first ever attempt.
Donemana proved to be a big physical team and certainly had the edge physically.
Beckett’s opened the scoring when Kieran Neill continued his rich vein of form by slotting home from close range.

Hide AdDonemana came back to equalise but then Beckett’s captain Dano Scozarri scored the goal of the game when he rattled in a volley from a Dessie Kearney corner.
But once again back came Donemana to equalise for the second time.
However Beckett’s sealed the victory and all three points when ace marksman Kieran Neill scored what proved to be the winner after some excellent approach play by Lewis Magee.
This victory keeps Beckett’s at the top of the league and once again manager Ricky Wade got his team selection and tactics spot on.
Man of the Match: Dano Scozarri.
