Larne prop up Section Two table
Larne Cricket club are rock-bottom of the NCU Section Two table following Saturday’s nine-wicket defeat to Saintfield.
Trevor Dempsey top-scored with 20 as the Sandy Bay side registered just 94 runs. Saintfield’s bowlers had shown no mercy with P. Murray returning figures of 4-13 and P. Telford 3-34.
The visitors posted 95-1 with G. Harrison and P. Ahire recording 45 not-out and 31 not-out respectively.
Larne are yet to put a single league point on the board after five matches. This weekend they host Laurelvale (1pm).
