SLIDESHOW: Ballymena Kwik cricket tournament
Six primary schools from the Ballymena area (Ballymena, Broughshane, Camphill, Carniny, Gracehill and Moorfields) competed in the event after an 8 week block of coaching sessions in the schools by Active Communities multi sport coach Ally McIlroy.
Many of the kids who took part hadn’t even held a cricket bat 8 weeks ago, despite this, the standard of cricket was excellent with several exciting prospects emerging on the day.
