Cycling: Harvey Barnes strikes junior gold for East Tyrone
Harvey qualified with the second fastest time in the Flying 200m to reach the quarter finals. The East Tyrone club rising star progressed through the semi-finals to reach the decider.
The final, which was the best out of three, saw Harvey winning 2-0 to take gold.

Hide AdMeanwhile, East Tyrone club made a very steady start to this season’s Five Inter Club Road Race Series in the opening round promoted in the Clogher Valley by the Lakeland Club in and around the Fivemiletown area.
The club is now lying second in the B Section and third in the A Section.
Garry Rainey and newcomer Mark Farquhar were the club’s highest points scorers, placing third and fifth in the B Event.
