The tie had been switched to Allen Park, Antrim due to both Wakehurst and their Landlords Moyola Park being drawn at ‘home’ in the same competition.

Wakehurst turned in their worst performance of an uninspiring season, offering little in a comprehensive 3-0 defeat which could have been much worse but for the heroics of keeper Macauley Cairns, who saved two first half penalties.

But even he could do nothing about Ciaran Ryan’s headed goal after 37 minutes or a deflection off Dougie Stevenson from a Mark McCullough free-kick right on half-time that sent Corner into the break two goals to the good.

The closest Wakehurst came to reducing the deficit was a Chris Rogers shot on 55 minutes that crashed against the crossbar.

But this was all too easy for a Chimney Corner team that had lost 2-0 to Wakehurst the week previously and they controlled most of the second half, sealing their win and a place in the next round with a third goal from substitute Sam Taylor 4 minutes into additional time, at the end of the match.
