Mark, a former international mountain runner, was also part of the prize-winning East Coast AC team at the Browns Bay ‘Beast’ Triathlon. He also produced a top-class performance at the Naas Duathlon, which was the qualifying race for the European Championships, where he claimed fourth as an international competitor.

During a race at the same championships he will also guide a visually impaired athlete, who is gearing towards selection for the Rio Olympics in 2016 .

The ECAC Head Coach described the opportunity to race and guide in Holland as “a very proud moment, something that I am excited, if not a little nervous by.”

Adele has also proved herself as a worthy competitor on the national, European and world stage. In 2013, she managed to secure a second-place finish at the Irish National Duathlon Championships and 37th at the World Triathlon Championships grand final.
