Ballymena League Junior Divisions round-up

Junior Division One: A Ryan Burke rocket into the top corner of the net three minutes from time salvaged a point for Ballyclare Comrades Reserves against Woodlands after Glenn McAuley had put the Carrick men in front with a first-half free-kick.

Johnny Reilly and Craig Montgomery were on target for Carnmoney in their 4-2 defeat at home to Desertmartin Swifts, while Mallusk Athletic’s Phil Browne netted in his side’s 1-1 draw at Cookstown RBL.

Junior Division Two: It was an afternoon to forget for Ballyclare North End who were thumped 9-0 by Brantwood Reserves while Mountainview won 3-1 at Ballynure OB ‘B’. Marcus Gilmore, Philip Rodgers and Nathan McIlwaine scored for the visitors before Jonny Graham bagged a late consolation.

Remo won 4-2 at Clough Rangers Athletic thanks to goals from Steve Brady (two), Dylan Laminheu and John Fox.

Shaun McGoran, Jamie Magill, Chris Dempsey, Keith Hall and Stuart McCutcheon were all on the scoresheet at Inver Park as Larne Olympic strolled to a 5-0 victory over Moyola Park.

Junior Division Three: A Philip Crozier double and a strike from Lee Lowry was enough to give Carrick Thistle a 3-2 win at Carnlough Swifts. Declan and Padraig McDermott cut the deficit for the home side but they failed to get the elusive equaliser.

1st Carrick and Whitehead Rangers shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Stuart Thompson put Rangers in front before half-time but Ryan Clawson levelled matters with 13 minutes remaining.

Stuart Smith scored twice and Andrew and Aaron Gilmore got the others as 3rd Ballyclare Old Boys eased to a 4-0 success against Hillhead Eagles.
