Bannsiders off to Ayr this summer

Coleraine are off to Scotland as part of their build up for the new season.

The Bannsiders will provide the opposition for Scottish League one side Ayr United on Saturday 18th July.

“We are delighted to be heading back to Scotland to play Ayr in what is a testimonial game for their long-serving centre back Martin Campbell,” said boss Oran Kearney.

“I’d like to thank their manager, Ian McCaul, for accepting the fixture. We have some good memories from our previous trips to Scotland so everyone is looking forward to heading over again.”

The game will take place at Somerset Park, kick off 3pm. Fans wishing to travel to the game can sail from Larne to Troon, which is the nearest port to Ayr.

Ayr United will be the second Scottish team the Bannsiders will face this summer after it was announced Rangers will visit The Showgrounds on Friday 24th July.

Coleraine will kick off their pre-season fixtures with away games at Moyola Park and Limavady United on Tuesday 7th July and Saturday 11th July respectively.
