Carniny Youth sides progress in National League competitions
The 13s meanwhile earned a point following a 1-1 draw with Ballinamallard.
There was mixed fortunes however for the South Belfast teams with the 10s going down 3-2 to North Belfast as goals from Keenan and Neilly were enough to earn all three points for the 11s against Aquinas. The 16s went down 2-0 to Linfield in a league fixture as the 17s went out of the NIBFA Cup after extra time 2-1 to Dungoyne.

Hide AdThe Senior team progressed to the next round of the Linda Welshman Cup beating Dundrod 2-1 in Crumlin with goals from Whitehurst and McMeekin.

Carniny 2, North Belfast 3: Carniny got off to the perfect start with Stewart scoring for the reds on 9 mins but on 15 mins Belfast drew level with a penalty. Carniny retook the lead and the first half finished 2-1.
However two second half goals won the game for the Belfast side.

Hide AdCarniny 3, Aquinas 1: Carniny opened the scoring with Keenan lobbing the keeper from outside the box. Nifty Neilly rounded the keeper to make it 2-0. Aquinas pulled one back to make it 2-1 at the break. Keenan restored the two goal advantage powering the ball home with a superb header.

Carniny 1, Ballinamallard 1: The Reds scored in the first 5 minutes when Kori Gamble turned it into the net. Then just before half time Ballinamallard got a break through and scored against the run of play.
The game finished 1-1 although Carniny could take a lot of positives from the game.

Carniny 5, Bangor Rangers 1: Carniny started well with Beggs hitting home from close range to make it 1-0.
McGurk made it 2 after a good cross from McComb on the right hand side leaving the half time score 2nil to Carniny.
Flynn's hard work paid off when he made it 3-0 before Galloway made it 4 with a brave header, but goal of the day came from Douglas, who beat three men before hammering the ball into the top of the Rangers net.
It was Bangor who scored the last, making it 5-1.

Carniny 1, Bertie Peacocks 0: The first half was a fairly even affair with both sides battling hard to gain the upper hand. With 25 mins of the half gone Nicky Black was brought down in the box as he chased the ball to the bye line and stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way as he slotted home the resultant spot kick.

Carniny 0, Linfield 2: There was little between two top teams in the first half and it ended 0-0.

Hide AdLinfield broke the dead lock in the 50th minute when they were awarded a free kick 25 yards out and scored, this stunned the Carniny lads and they conceded a second goal only a few minutes later.

Carniny 1, Dungoyne 2: After a goalless first half, Carniny broke the deadlock on 52 minutes when Paddy Deboys latched onto an excellent through ball and kept his composure to slot confidently past the keeper.
In the 93rd minute the referee awarded Dungoyne a penalty when the onrushing forward was fouled in the box.
