The club will reinstate their 1999 team for season 2015/16 when they will enter into the NIBFA Subway National League Under 17 league.

The U17 National League has proved a huge success for the NIBFA being played on Friday evenings, generally on 3G surfaces under floodlights and also allowing players to play in Youth or Reserve teams on Saturdays.

Anyone interested in being part of this new 1999 team should contact the club through Davy McComb 07803596967 or Billy O’Flaherty 07850669666.

Players do not necessarily have to wait until pre season to come along as they are also welcome to come along and join in with the current Under 17 squad.

Likewise the club also welcome enquiries for players born in 1998 and 1997, who will be part of the club’s U19 (Youth team) who currently play in the NIFL Youth League.

The club will be guests of the North East club for a long weekend that will see the boys take in training sessions with Sunderland staff, games with teams from the club, stadium and training ground tours, topped off with attendance at a Sunderland home game at the Stadium of Light.

This will be another professional club visit for this group of boys who have been guests at Ipswich Town and Stoke City over the past few years.

SPONSOR BOOST FOR CLUB

The club were delighted to take up an offer from one of their current sponsors, McDonalds Restaurant, Ballymena.

McDonald’s, who sponsor the club’s youth team playing strips, have generously offered to supply one team from Carniny Youth a set of McDonald’s meals after their game on a Saturday, once a month.

The club have decided the set of meals will be awarded to the club’s team of the month, to be decided by the club’s Management Committee.
