Cushley frustrated by keeper Tuffey’s heroics in weekend loss
The Ballymena United winger was a central figure in his side’s 3-1 defeat at Mournview Park, putting United in front but then seeing a host of other chances thwarted by Tuffey, including a superb penalty save to keep out Cushley’s second half spot kick.
“It was one of those days where nothing came off for me,” said a rueful Cushley.

“What can you do when you come up against a keeper who plays like that?
“It’s a tough one to take, especially after we played so well.
“There were spells in the game where we played some fantastic football and our breakways and one-twos were superb.”

“We’ve had the performances in the last three games but not the results.
“It’s frustrating but we have to keep the head down during the week and get back to winning, hopefully.
I’ve been happy enough with my form at times but there are also times where things haven’t come off for me, with my shooting.
“We have to start picking up points and start climbing back up the table again,” added Cushley.
