Date is set for Silverwood’sappeal over abandoned game
The April 26 semi-final between Silverwood and Hill Street was abandoned in the second half with the scoreline 4-0 to the latter side.
“Our ruling found Silverwood responsible for the abandonment of the semi-final but they have lodged an appeal against that decision with the Irish Football Association,” said the Mid-Ulster Football League’s Paul Suckling.
“That appeal date has been set as June 12.
“The IFA decision will determine the next step but any final, if played, will now take place next season.”
Ballyoran defeated Lurgan Institute in the other semi-final.
