Homers’ Shield final postponed over player eligibility issue

HARRYVILLE Homers’ Paddy Power County Antrim Junior Shield final against Valley Rangers, scheduled for this Wednesday night, has been postponed amid a new player eligibility issue.

The County Antrim Football Association has confirmed that the decider, which was due to take place at Ballyskeagh, has been shelved “in light of correspondence received from Harryville Homers regarding player eligibility”.

A spokesman said: “The County Antrim FA Junior Shield Committee will meet on Wednesday evening (May 2) to discuss implications & options and details will follow.”
