Junior Park 'Cave' in to defeat

BALLYMENA Junior Park entertained Cavehill last Saturday however the Braid men did not have the best of days with the visitors claiming an 11 shot victory, 66-77.

On rink 1 Jimmy Alexander, Joe McKernan, Liam Lyness and Davy Balmer were still very much in the game against Y Davis after 7 ends with only 1 shot separating the rinks.

The game changed over the next 5 ends when the visitors scored 11 unanswered shots to open up a 12 shot lead. The remainder of the game was much closer but the Braid rink could not undo the earlier damage and eventually went down by 22 shots to 12.

After 6 ends the Braid rink held a slender 1 shot lead but they took control of the game when they won 8 of the next 10 ends to take a 20-6 lead and this enabled the Ballymena men to win by 27 shots to 11
