Fergie thrilled with Windsor debut
EGLINTON youngster Shane Ferguson produced a man of the match display in Northern Ireland’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Norway, on Wednesday night.
The Newcastle United starlet along with Kilmarnock’s Dean Shiels did well in what was Michael O’Neill’s first game in charge of his country.
Although Ferguson may not have had the Windsor Park faithful on the edge of their seats his link-up play with Ryan McGivern, particularly in the first half, suggests the 20-year-old has a bright future ahead of him.
After the game Ferguson admitted how much he loved his first international in front of the Green and White Army and is already looking forward to September’s World Cup qualifiers.
