South Antrim League round-up

PREMIER DIVISION

Warren YM were inspired by a Steven Tierney hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Glaston. Willy Hull and Andy Ginn got the other goals with C. McKenna replying for Glaston.

DIVISION 1

Ballymacash YM II had ben in good form recently, but they were halted when held to a 2-2 draw by Ballymacash Rangers III. Ryan Graham and Chris Walmsley got the Young Men’s goals.

Belvoir FC II had a surprise 3-0 win over 1st Lisburn II and Brunt hit a hat-trick when Orangefield OB III beat Woodvale YM 6-2. Harper 2 and Wright got the other Old Boys’ goals.

DIVISION 2

Chris Edgar scored both goals when Ballymacash YM III beat Victoria Athletic 2-0 in the top of the table clash.

Sandy Row II had a 4-1 win over Newtown Forest III. Scorers for Row were Jonathan Childs 2, James Willis and Jaye Pearce.

GORDON HANNA TROPHY first round

James Thompson was again on the target with three goals when Ballymacash YM beat Warren YM II 5-2. Colin Jamison and an own goal made up the Ballymacash total.

Gary Brady gave Harmony Hill a half-time lead, but South Antrim came back to win 3-1.

Belvoir FC were 4-1 winners over Lambeg Rangers in a second round tie.

SUPPLEMENTARY PLATE SECTION A

Colin Valley III recorded a 5-2 win over Taughmonagh YM II, whose scorers were Nathan Moorhead and Simon Hall.

WHITESIDE CUP SECTION A

Stevie Clydesdale scored twice, one a penalty, and Stevie Moore and Dylan Cush got the other goals when Glenavy III beat Lambeg Rangers II 4-2.

Moira Albion II were 2-1 winners against South Antrim II.
