Galacticos claim derby day bragging rights

Hide AdA full-strength Cowboys lost 9-5 at home to second-placed Scorpions. Despite Marty Goudie landing a hat-trick for the hosts, they couldn’t prevent defeat.
Third-placed Hitmen & Her lost on the same scoreline as they entertained Whitehead Spartans. They were 6-1 down at the break and despite giving it a go in the second half, the damage was done.
Elsewhere, Doagh Weapons won 8-6 at home to the Warriors, while Whitehead Trojans and Teddy Bears had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 7-7 draw.
Greenisland Colts and Alpha played out one of the longest matches of pool witnessed in the league in recent times. After three hours, Greenisland finally got over the line to claim an 8-6 success.
