Referee Mr. Joe Watson

NEWTOWNE FC 2 0 BALLYNURE OLD BOYS

It’s goals that win games and this was certainly the case in this game as Ballynure created a number of chances but it was Newtowne who were much sharper in this department scoring twice without reply.

Both teams started off playing the ball around and though chances had been created the scoreline was blank at half-time.

The second half was following a similar pattern until Blain Morrison scored the opening goal on the 65th minute. Ballynure then had to chase the game and this led to Newtowne scoring a second through Gary Moore on the 75th minute to secure the win. Referee Mr. Paul Doherty

NEWTOWNABBEY FC 3 0 DESERTMARTIN

Newtownabbey started off well taking the lead after Jackie Moore scored on the 20th minute then after this there was little to choose between the teams until Desertmartin had a man sent off for a second yellow card. Newtownabbey with the extra man then took the game to Desertmartin doubling their lead when Paul Harper scored on the 66th minute.

Time was then beginning to run down when Desertmartin had a second player sent off for a straight red card on the 76th minute. Newtownabbey then sealed the win when Jackie Moore scored his second goal on the 80th minute. Referee Mr. Hugh McElwee

CRAWFORD CUP ROUND 2

RACEVIEW 4 1 DUNLOY

This was a much tighter game than the scoreline would suggest but it was in the taking of chances that Raceview excelled where as Dunloy were found wanting at times.
