Lisburn runners have a grand day for Sport Relief
Over 100 participants of all ages took part on the cold morning to raise money for this very worthwhile cause.
Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman of the Council’s Leisure Services Committee, who started the race, said: “The turn out in Wallace Park was excellent and I commend everyone who took part and completed either the one mile, three mile or six mile route. To see some local residents take part in fancy dress or with their dogs alongside just showed how relaxed and fun the event was.

Super sprinters and willing walkers were very much at home in Wallace Park as they set off on their chosen route from the Band Stand.”
Local retailer Sainsbury’s was corporate sponsor of this sporting event nationwide.
