Matthew and Stuart carry Ulster title hopes

Matthew Cheung and Stuart McCollam will be carrying the hopes for Ulster success in the Ulster Under 13 Open at the weekend.

They top the seedings in the Boys Doubles and are due to get their challenge off to a successful start when they face Luke Davis and Matthew Donnelly on Saturday afternoon while David and Kevin Downey, are seeded No2 and the two partnerships have played each other in the Leinster Under 11 Boys Doubles in January 2014 with the local pair coming out on top despite losing the opening set 21-18.

Matthew and Stuart took the second 21-16 and in the decider secured the win 26-24.

Ranked No5 in the Under 11 Boys Singles Matthew is seeded No2 in the singles with his first match against Dylan Noble while Stuart seeded No3 faces Ronan McGowan in Round 2 and would be due to meet top seed David Downey in the semi-final.
