In recent years the committee decided to change from a previous trend and secure the services of a sports personality. They say that has further raised the profile of the event and will encourage sponsors to support the Awards evening.

The organisers are delighted in this the 18th Year of the event to have secured the services of current Tyrone Senior Manager Mickey Harte as the Guest Speaker for the evening. Mickey presented the awards in 2008 and has delivered leadership and motivational talks to corporate clients all over Ireland.

Three All-Ireland titles, two Ulster Titles and four Dr McKenna Cups will ensure Mickey Harte’s place in the pantheon of GAA managerial greatness.

Recognised as one of the best managers to ever grace the sideline, he is renowned as one of the shrewdest and most cunning tacticians in the game today. His motivational skills and one-to-one management of players is something that has contributed greatly to his success as a manager. Mickey has been one of the key reformers and architects of the modern style of Gaelic football and by all accounts the architect of Tyrone’s All Ireland victories isn’t finished just yet.
