Greenlough’s Reserves began their season on Sunday 10th March with their first competitive game of the year against Lissan in the Graham Cup. Due to the weather conditions the match was changed from Lissan to the 4G pitch at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown. With a stiff breeze to their advantage in the opening half Lissan failed to make any inroads as Greenlough started quickest, and by the half time whistle; thanks to goals from Fergal Clarke, Christopher Maguire and two from Cathal McGurk, the St Oliver Plunkett’s men had a healthy advantage. With the wind advantage and as a light flurry of snow fell, Greenlough hoped to continue the dominance they had in the first period, and despite Lissan opening the scoring they failed to score again as Greenlough finished out the game with a third goal from Cathal McGurk and one from Mark Tohill, coupled with 8 second half points to enjoy a comfortable victory by 0-3 to 6-17
