It was hard but rewarding work for the boys and they both enjoyed the experience. Both needed hard-pack training to increase their fitness and make sure the bikes were set up for the long season ahead.

Charlie said: “I loved the tracks and learnt a lot over the 10 days and now I can’t wait for my first race at Culham MX Park for round one of the Pirelli Masters in a couple of weeks.

“My Discount Beds KTM is going well and after Spain I feel ready for it now and I’m looking forward to racing in the same championship meeting as my hero, Martin Barr.”

Matthew enjoyed Spain and feels like he’s got well used to the 85 now. “It’s hard going getting used to the Solid Fabrications 85 KTM, but I’m getting the hang of it. Spain and Gordon’s help was great. I learned a lot and, like Charlie, I can’t wait to get racing at Culham MX Park.”
