Performance team slots for Mark and Matthew while Sheena’s got Talent
Over the winter period a new Irish team was forming to help young Irish riders develop and set them on a straight path towards the possibility of turning professional.
The team, known as the Nicholas Roche Performance Team, is made up of eight young cyclists and Banbridge Cycling Club had the talent in the club to fill two of the spaces, courtesy of Mark Downey and Matthew Taggert.

Mark has already achieved some podium finishes in the early season racing this year and will soon claim the no 1 spot.
Matthew is recovering from a minor setback from the off season but should be fighting fit shortly and will be mixing it with his teammate for the podium.
We look forward to see how the two guys progress throughout the year.

Banbridge Cycling Club would like to wish the trio all the best of luck in the forthcoming season and will be following their progress intently.
