Pool final is to be a family affair

IT’S going to be a family affair when three generations of the same family play off against each other in a prestigious pool final in Hillsborough next week.

Jerome Lenfestey will be part of the ‘Scroungers’ team who will be taking on his son, Paul, and grandson Christopher’s team in the final in the Coach Club.

“It’s the first final to be played in the league so everyone’s looking forward to it,” said Jerome.

“There’s been a bit of banter between everyone and I’m sure it’ll be a great occasion, although all of us want the bragging rights.

“We won’t know who is playing who until the night itself as the players won’t be drawn out of the hat until then.”

Jerome said that Paul could be the one to watch out of the trio.

“He was a Northern Ireland international and around the age of 16-17 he was getting a lot of publicity as possibly being the next big thing in local snooker.

“He’s even beaten Jimmy White so he’s definitely a good player.”

He added, “Christopher’s a good player too though; it’ll be interesting to see if we end up playing each other.”
