SLIDESHOW: Girls enjoy Allianz camogie tournament

The annual indoor 5 a side camogie tournament took place in the Antrim Forum recently when Ballymena and Antrim schools competed for title of Allianz Cumann Na mBunscol South West Antrim indoor champions.

With a place in the All County Schools Finals at stake next month, the competition was intense.

After an absorbing three hours of play the final brought together the girls from Glenravel PS and St. Brigid’s PS.

The girls from the “Town” took an early lead with a well taken goal but pressure from the Glenravel girls levelled with two minutes to go and with newly restored confidence they pressed on and scored the winning goal in the last minute.
