Spires charity cycle ‘a roaring success’

SPIRES Cycling Club, Magherafelt recently held their first sportive cycle for charity. There chosen charity for the event was Diabetes UK (Northern Ireland). The event turned out to be a roaring success with two well thought out routes, which were designed to cater for cyclists of all abilities.

The numbers who signed on for the event were actually double what was expected for the cycle. Spires CC Magherafelt raised a grand total of £3480 for Diabetes UK (Northern Ireland). The amount raised was the highest amount raised in one event in 2012 for Diabetes UK (Northern Ireland).
This cycle would not have been at all possible only for the kind donations and sponsorship of local business’s and Spires CC would like to thank all participants, Organisers and Sponsors for there tremendous help.
