Ulster Cup team through to round two
The local team, which is captained by Alan Dale, ably assisted by Brian Mulholland, were up 4.5 to 2.5 after the away leg. They only needed three points out of the seven available in the second leg in order to win.
It was very cold last Sunday but the course conditions had improved dramatically after the recent rain.

Hide AdThe experienced Peter Hillen went out first and he beat Jim McCabe 5 and 3.
The man in form, Ronnie Halliday, beat Michael Pauley 6 and 4.
And Gareth McGregor played scintillating golf to beat Dennis Cahill 7 and 6.
It was all over and everyone else was called in out of the cold.

Hide AdPhilip McCourt, Jim Gracey, Tony Ewbanks and Jim Matthews were all in good positions in their games but they were happy with the news that Banbridge had won.
It will not be so easy in the next round when the opposition will be either Killymoon or Gracehill.
But, it’s a case of so far, so good.
